PostSubject: Flashback Alternatives NYE Party   Thu Dec 31, 2009 8:08 pm

I thought I'd help out my friends at Flashback Alternatives and promote
their special NYE Party tonight. Here is the schedule of the shows
tonight, which starts at 6pm EST. All times are in EST, so adjust what time zone you're in.

6 pm - Gorg of the North
7 pm - DJ Moog
8 pm - Denny Daniel
9 pm - DJ Oldman
10 pm - Altrocker Dave
11 pm - DJ Formaldehyde
12 pm - DJ ED
1 am - Ms Synth
2 am Atomic
3 am Doug Lynner

All the shows will repeat all day tomorrow, in case you miss them the first time.

To listen go to http://www.flashbackalternatives.com
and go to Tune In! or if you have iTunes, go to the 80s Flashback
section in the Radio area and find All Flashback Alternatives (1.FM).

I know I'll have a good time. Smile

The shows I recommend listening because of the DJs are: Gorg of the North (he's from Erie, PA and he usually plays really interesting music), DJ Oldman (he's from Ottawa, Ontario, and he's the "elder statesman" of FA, he usually plays a lot of stuff from the 70s and a LOT of ska and reggae), DJ Formaldehyde (he and his wife, DJ MsSynth have their own show and they normally play the "Darker Shade of Retro", which is usually industrial, gothic and other dark beats, I'm not sure what his NYE show will be though. He and his wife come from Toronto, Ontario), DJ Ed (usually his show either has "Screamers of the Week" from WLIR or Bad 70s and 80s music, he's the owner of FA and comes from NJ), MsSynth (DJF's wife), Doug Lynner (he was/is a member of the band, Invisible Zoo and he has this great show every second Thursday at 9pm EST called, "The World of Noise." He's a great guy, and DJ.)

I would recommend the others, but I normally don't listen to their shows. Flashback Alternatives is a great online station that I've been listening to for about four years now. There are a lot of great people there. I hope you listen and if you can tag on their tagboard on the FA website http://www.flashbackalternatives.com . I know you'll have fun. Smile
